right ideas" are key obstacles to innovation.
How do you generate ideas? How do you convert them?
I have my best ideas when I am in that twighlight zone between being fast asleep and waking up, called "Hypnagogia"- not the best time to capture them and turn them into something real.
I have though started to capture them immediately on my phone, sending a brief note via email to myself. That way, I do not lose the train of thought like I have done so many times before.
I then run - once properly awake - each idea through my idea funnel assessment, a very quick tool to find out if it is worth pursuing that idea or not. I am planning to turn that into an app soon, watch this space...
